JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --  More than 350 sailors are home safe and sound.  Two ships, USS Robert G. Bradley and USS Stephen W. Groves, returned to Naval Station Mayport this morning after a 6-month multi-national security mission.

The son of one of the men aboard USS Groves got a huge surprise as he prepared for a swimming championship at the Cecil Aquatic Center.

"We've been planning this for like two weeks now," said St. Johns Summer Swim League VP Deborah Serrahn.

Command Senior Chief Darcy Beauchamp left from Mayport and went straight to the Aquatic Center, on a mission to surprise his 16-year-old son Christian.

"And we're going to sneak him into the building," said Serrahn.

Once Dad was inside, Christian was called over to discuss some "issues" with some of his swimming times.  Of course it was all a lie to distract him.
